The Franchise Local 2You Roadshow is a series of six, small, free showcases taking place in convenient, well-known venues around the UK. The owners of lucrative franchises will be taking part in all six exhibitions, hoping to meet motivated individuals interested in running their own business. In addition to meeting face-to-face with these successful franchisees, visitors will be able to get independent advice, guidance and support. Furthermore, Franchise Local 2You will be hosting a series of free, informative seminars at each event. As of January 2016 franchising contributed £15.1 billion to the UK economy, an increase of 46% over the past 10 years. 621,000 people are employed in franchising in the UK, of which 321,000 are in full-time employment (an increase of 70% over the past 10 years). The number of franchisee-owned businesses has increased to 44,200 in 2 years (by 14%). Those businesses are also becoming larger as the sector matures, with over half now claiming an annual turnover of more than £250,000 and with one-third now employing 10 or more staff.    97% of franchisee-owned units reported profitability, with 56% saying they were ‘quite’ or ‘very’ profitable.
